The Clackamas County Sheriff's office knows the name Tara Axmaker. Twice in three years, she's accused of stabbing a man and being involved in a police chase. Both victims knew her and
survived.
Early this morning, deputies were on South Howards Mill Road in Beavercreek investigating a stabbing, apparently over drugs. 33-year-old Matthew Savage is said to be in fair condition.
The 25-year-old Clackamas woman seized the
opportunity to get behind the wheel of a deputy's patrol car
while they were at the scene investigating.
The pursuit went into Molalla where Axmaker crashed the
stolen vehicle near Highway 213 and was arrested. She was wanted on a warrant and is now facing charges including attempted murder.
In April of 2010, police say Axmaker was the passenger during a police chase after she stabbed a man and an accomplice stole his car.
