The American Cancer Society wants to find the answer to the question "What caused my cancer?"  It's looking for 300,000 people nationwide to participate in it's 3rd Cancer Prevention Study.  The first study showed the link between smoking and cancer and the second showed the link between obesity and cancer.  Laura Potter with the Portland Chapter of the American Cancer Society says when you follow a big group of people over a long period of time and find out how they live, what they eat, what supplements and medications they take, how much they exercise, you can see which behaviors could cause cancer and which behaviors could prevent cancer.
The study involves short surveys over a 20 year period.  It also requires one in person meeting that Potter says will only take 20 or 30 minutes.  You can find out more information here.  KXL's Lacey Evans is enrolled in the study.  She'll be following the process for us on KXL.
