April Boag is a jockey at Portland Meadows. But since it's the off season here, she is currently racing at a track near San Francisco. Because Boag and her two kids are on the road so much, they live in a travel trailer. On Monday, it burst into flames. She was napping at the time and her 5 year old son was playing video games. Boag singed her hair rescuing him. Boag says it took only 3 minutes for the trailer to become fully engulfed in flames. Everything they owned was inside. People at the track in California are helping Boag and her kids with a new place to live and her friends at Portland Meadows are collecting donations to ship down to her. They're collecting clothes, toiletries, school supplies, towels, any and all household items.
