The final BCS regular season standings have been released. LSU stands at 12-0 and will take on SEC rival Alabama in the championship game. Alabama held off a surge from Oklahoma State to come in at second. The Cowboys had an impressive victory over Oklahoma on Saturday but in the end finished third in the BCS standings.

Stanford comes in at fourth as their only bump in the road was the home loss to the Ducks. Oregon is fifth in the BCS and will represent the PAC-12 in the Rose Bowl.

The SEC’s third team in the standings is Arkansas as they come in at sixth. The Razorbacks have two losses, one to LSU the other to Alabama. Boise State is seventh as for the second year in a row Broncos fans lament a missed field goal that could be the difference between a spot in the championship game.

The top ten rounds out with Kansas State at eighth. South Carolina is the fourth SEC team in the top ten as they place at ninth. Wisconsin rounds out the top ten as the Badgers will take on the Ducks in the Rose Bowl.

The remaining BCS bowl matchups have Stanford and Oklahoma State meeting in the Fiesta Bowl. Michigan will battle Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl as both are at large teams that did not finish in the top ten. The Orange Bowl has Big East champ West Virginia taking on ACC champ Clemson.
